Calli's Castle

What happens when a REAL Princess shows up at a 5 year olds birthday party?

1. As the little princesses arrive at Calli's Castle they enter on the red carpet. Princess Calli gives each girl a hug as they arrive.

2. They are greeted by the royal glitter girl. She applies glitter to all the Princesses cheeks.

3. The girls are wondering why Aurora doesn't have a crown. Aurora told them she lost it at the Castle. So, the little princesses found one she could borrow.

4. Faith is very concerned that Princess Aurora has tennis shoes on. She let Faith know that it was because she had been playing in the forest with her animal friends. "Don't you wear tennis shoes when you play in the forest with your animal friends Faith?" asks Aurora. With a confused look on her face she replies, "I don't have animal friends."

5. The little Princesses play pass the shoe. When the bell rings the Princess with the shoe gets to hold Cinderella's glass slipper and ring the bell in the middle of the circle. They also helped find the poisonous apple so Snow White didn't eat it.

6. All the Princesses danced at the Ball.

7. They each get a Royal Princess Picture taken with Snow White and Sleeping Beauty.

8. Thanks for sharing Calli's Royal Princess Birthday with her. (and her mom)

9. Princess Aurora gets a call from the Castle. She is delighted they have found her crown. Off to the Castle she goes. Thanks for visiting Calli's Castle Sleeping Beauty!

Stars and Stripes

Heber House full of Girls!

After a long week of baseball in Park City and Heber, the Atkissions were kind enough to invite us to stay at the Heber House with them so we didn't have to drive down the Canyon again. When we got there the Jorgensens were also there. They let us eat their food and shared their fireworks with us. The kids had a great time swimming and playing with the "Girls". Marshall will appreciate this in a few years when he gets older I'm sure. Thanks for a fun 4th.

Oakley Rodeo Yee Haw!

Not so great pictures but I had to show you the Rodeo Princess Calli in her cowgirl hat and boots. We didn't stay very long since you can see Andrew was so happy to be there. We go every year with my Dad's side of the family - Thanks Grandpa. They have a great fireworks show after the Rodeo. What a fun tradition.

Birthday GIRLS!

Hilary got an awesome chair for her desk (gotta love Ikea) and an Ihome.

Hilary likes to play Goalie. You rock Hill Bill.

Hilary spent her birthday at a University of Utah soccer camp. She loves to mess around with the squirt bottle and keep cool.

Calli got a new Princess bike for her birthday.

We spent Calli's birthday in Park City at Marshall's baseball tournament. She was a dirty little monkey playing in the trees all day.
We went to dinner at Park City Pasta and Noodles. Calli got her favorite Mac and Cheese.

We had a fun family dinner for the girls birthday's. Thanks everyone for coming and celebrating with us. Oh and Grandpa Nice, Calli loves the socks!

In case you were wondering, I love birthday's and parties. I also love to take pictures and share them. Here are a few I loved of Calli. She has such personality.

A little Heaven on earth!

Lake Powell is one of my all time favorite trips. I love to be there. It makes me feel like a kid again. I love that my kids are having the same experiences I did when I was their age. This trip didn't start out the greatest but it turned out awesome. We launched the boat and noticed our gas tank was EMPTY! Adam had filled it up in the fall when he stored it and we are not quite sure where it happened but someone stole 50 gallons of gas. That's $288 when you have to fill up on the water. We searched all day for a camp spot and the water was so high that all the beaches were covered in weeds. We ended up pulling the boat out and heading to the campground. We loved it there. They had nice CLEAN facilities - bonus.

We loved having my little no younger brother Jake with us. He is awesome on the wakeboard!

Marshall caught is first Lizard at Lake Powell. (What a proud Mom I am.)

Family photo! Thanks Jake.

On the last day Andrew warmed up to the tube. Marshall and Andrew took a Loooooong ride. I think he would have stayed in there for hours if we would have let him. I was very nervous about taking Andrew with us. He did awesome. He took naps, watched everyone play and even got out and enjoyed the water a little himself.

We always say the Lake Powell is Calli's trip. She is in her element down here. She loves to swim and jump off the boat. Adam and Calli explored all over the rocks and they even went cliff jumping.

Adam and the kids hiked to some ruins and little huts called Defiance house. Calli loved playing house in the hut.

Hilary found a new talent, water gun . Every time we would take a break next to a tall wall of rock Hilary would see how high she could shoot water on the rocks. She would also try to get the Lizards to fall in the water. Watch out Charlies Angels.

Calli's moving on to Kindergarten!

After two years of preschool Calli is ready for Kindergarten. What wonderful progress she has made. I am so thankful for her teachers especially Jeralyn. I feel like she cares for Calli almost as much as I do. She has been so amazing to have working with Calli and I will miss her. At Calli's performance she finally participated in the singing and actions of the songs. She also sings them at home now. What progress!

All-Stars

After winning Bingham 12 - 4 Marshall and Adam pose in front of the score board.

This is what it's all about, the bond that Marshall and Adam are forming with their love for each other and sports.
Marshall getting ready to steal second base!

Marshall was one of 12 boys that made the South East Valley All Star baseball team. Adam was asked to be an assistant coach. The team was awesome. What a season it has been! I have gone to so many baseball games I lost count but I loved every minute of it. (Hopefully I will learn to love football just as much.) Marshall came a long way as a player in the past few weeks. He became a more consistent player and learned how to control his emotions better than the beginning of the year.

The team won all their games in the Murray District and advanced to the State Tournament held at Bingham's home field. We were knocked into the losers bracket early by Bingham. We battled back, beating Bingham, and ended up playing Riverton for the Pee Wee U8 State Championship. Riverton was undefeated and the tournament was double elimination so we had to win them two times to take State. We won the first game and the team was pumped. Riverton came back with a vengence and we were tired. (We played so many more games than them.) We lost the final game. Marshall was crushed. He couldn't stop crying. This made me so sad and I was crying too. I couldn't control myself so I had to leave. It broke my heart that Marshall was so upset. He didn't realize that getting second in a State Championship was a great achievement. He s to lose. (I don't know where he gets that from.) Marshall is definitely a better person from this experience and I hope he realizes this someday.

When Marshall came home with his Trophy he had an extra one. He got it for me. What a sweet boy I have thinking of his Mom. Adam said that he thought I wanted Marshall to win more than
he wanted it himself. This could have been true but I was so happy for Marshall to have gotten as far as he did.

OK, I need to brag a little. Marshall had 10 RBI's, 9 Runs Scored, 2 doubles and 5 triples!

Congratulations my All Star!
