Princess Faith

What a proud Aunt I am. I attended my niece Faith’s dance recital. She is the cutest little thing. She just turned 4. She did a ballet dance dressed as Snow White and a Tap dance to Elmo’s Tappin toe song. I really enjoyed watching her little personality come out as she was on a stage in front of a huge audience.

What a Princess you are Faith!

Party Planner

Speaking of parties, I’m about all partied out. I have planned and decorated for at least 6 parties in the last month and a half (some larger than others):

  1. GaNO
  2. LaDawn’s 40th Birthday Bash (my cute friend)
  3. Marshall’s friend Birthday party
  4. Adam, Marshall’s and Joshies Birthday party
  5. Our Stake’s Mariachi Fiesta
  6. Our Rasmussen Luau Reunion

(And you wonder why there hasn’t been any posts.) I also was officially released from my calling as Ward Activities Committee Chair today. I loved my calling and am sad to leave but I am thrilled to be working in the young women’s now. I really do love to plan and decorate for parties. I want to believe I am good at it. That is what everyone tells me. I think I should have been a party planner before I had kids. Come to think of it, I did do it a little in college. I was on the Special Events and Entertainment Committee. We would plan BBQ’s, Valentines Dances, Hypnotists, Comedians and such to come to SLCC. I was also asked to help decorate for my friend’s son’s wedding luncheon and reception in December. How fun, I’ve never done that before. I better not get too far out yet, I still have Hilary and Calli’s Birthday’s in two weeks.

Birthday BOYS

Birthday season has officially kicked off at our house. Happy Birthday Marshall and Adam. We had a party and included my brother Josh’s birthday as well. His birthday is three days before Marshall’s. Party on dude!

Baseball Mania!

I should really have Adam write about Marshall and his baseball since he is so much more involved in it than I am. Marshall played for SEV and Adam coached his team. They were the ANGELS. His team took 4th place over all on the season and took 2nd place in the playoffs. Marshall plays pitcher and catcher mostly and eventually he gets on 1st base or in the outfield. His team upset the 1st place team Yankees in the playoffs. This was a better win than if they would have won 1st in the playoffs (so mom thinks.) The Yankees were 13-1 in the season. They are an awesome team. Our team had the game of the season when we played them. From pitchers getting out the first three batters to the caught fly balls to the rally from the outfield to tag one of their runners out at home to an awesome double play, they were unstoppable.

What a great Dad Adam is. He is so dedicated to Marshall and his success in sports. He is an amazing coach. I heard this from almost every parent on the team. They were sad the season was over. Adam knows how to be firm and encouraging at the same time. The kids think he is the best.

Marshall also plays on a Super League baseball team. It is called the Predators. Marshall had his last two games on Saturday. He pitched the entire second game and led his team to a win. The best thing for Marshall was that he didn’t strike out the whole day.

Our next baseball adventure is the ALL STAR TEAM. Marshall made the “A” all star team this year. He will start playing games soon.

GREAT JOB MARSHALL!

Black and White ready to fight, Go Avalanche!

Hilary had a wonderful season this year in soccer. Her team took second place in the Challenge Cup U10 Boys division. We lost to a team that we played last fall and won. Hilary did outstanding in goal.

We then took a trip to Las Vegas to compete in a tournament there. What a fun trip. Hilary played amazing in goal again and she scored her first goal of the season. It was not just a typical goal, we were down 2-0 in the second half and her goal was the beginning of a rally of goals. We beat the team we were playing 5-3. The s did an awesome job and took first place in the tournament. Unfortunately I forgot my camera and have no photos to share.

Hilary also had tryouts and made the team again. Her team is going to play up a year in the U12 s division with 11 s on the field instead of 8. They will be playing s more on their level of play.

In June Hilary played in a 3 V 3 tournament. Her soccer team put in 3 teams of 5 s. Hilary’s team took second place in the tournament but first place out of the 3 teams her team put in.

HILL BILL YOU RULE!

Our "mini" graduate!

Calli is almost officially graduated from pre-school. She finished Sunshine school May 19th and did great in her picnic performance. She sang songs and did actions. This was a huge improvement from last year. She is still finishing up her Willow Springs school and will be done at the end of June. I can’t thank her teachers and bus drivers enough for all their support to Calli. This is the thank you note I made for each of them. What a wonderful group of teachers at both schools. I couldn’t make it without them.
